Asthma

Ayurveda treatment for Asthma

Asthma is a chronic inflammatory reversible lung disease that inflames, produces extra mucus, causes spasms and narrows the airways. This can make breathing difficult causing coughing, wheezing and shortness of breath.

The airways are the tubes that carry air into and out of the lungs. People with asthma, have inflamed airways, which make them swollen and sensitive, and also make them react strongly and become more susceptible to inhaled substances. Thus, when these airways react, the muscles around them become tightened, and this narrows the airways, thereby causing less air to flow into the lungs.
