Indus Valley Foundation

Indus Valley Foundation provides funding through Indus Valley Ayurvedic Centre (IVAC) to train people ages 18 and above as Ayurveda therapists, Yoga instructors and Ayurveda cooks.

These people quite often have difficulty in pursuing education and any career because of financial difficulties and family problems and sometimes physical disabilities such as blindness.

India is now home to the world's largest number of blind people. Of the 37 million people across the globe who are blind, over 15 million are Indians. Blind people even though they loose one sense, the strength of this sense gets transferred to other senses and will be more efficient technically. This is proven in Thailand where blind people are trained in Thai massages p extremely well.

Inspired by this fact IVF has undertaken a program called BLIND INITIATIVE. This would empower many blind people and socially disadvantaged people to pursue a career.

To train one person as a therapistYoga Instructor/Ayurveda Cook, t includes food, accommodation, uniform, training and course material for 1year would cost $1400/ 1100euros/60,000.00 INR
